They are available in 4 models, ranging from the compact cube to the super-sized XXL, and all come with a 5-year extended warranty. REEF-SPEC

The ideal specifications for a thriving reef

Every piece of equipment incorporated into the MAX NANO G2 systems is REEF-SPEC- which is the criteria that represents the ideal conditions required in an aquarium for sustaining coral health and optimizing coral growth, based on Red Sea's 30 years of research on the needs of corals in artificial environments.

REEF-SPEC Lighting

Our long term research into the photobiological needs of coral in artificial environments has led to the REEF-SPEC lighting criteria, which is the basis for the lighting configurations used in all Red Sea aquarium systems.

REEF-SPEC Filtration

The heart of the MAX NANO G2 filtration system is the MAX NANO protein skimmer, which removes the vast majority of the waste produced by the aquarium inhabitants, as well as thoroughly oxygenating the water.

REEF-SPEC Circulation

MAX NANO G2 systems provide REEF-SPEC water flow, which is crucial for providing corals and other sessile invertebrates with the nutrients and minerals necessary for growth.

The MAX NANO G2 XXL is the biggest member of the NANO family, a pro-size reef but with all the equipment hidden behind the tank. Its impressive size and elegant design
makes it the centerpiece of any room.

Fully equipped rear sump

The equipment in the rear sump is hidden behind a rotatable screen for easy access.

The water flows to the rear sump via a removable surface skimmer, and is filtered by a bespoke 225-micron filter sock, a MAX protein skimmer, and flows back to the aquarium through a media chamber, bubble trap and multidirectional, adjustable nozzles.

The REEF-SPEC circulation system includes a Sicce return pump: 950 LPH for the Cube and Peninsula, 1550 LPH for the XL, and two 1550 LPH pumps for the XXL. The pumps circulate their tank’s entire water volume about 10 times an hour.

The rear sump in the MAX NANO cube, peninsula and XL systems includes an auto top-off with an RO reservoir, and all the MAX NANO sumps are ReefATO+ and NanoMat-ready.

Ultra-clear glass

The MAX NANO G2 models have a rimless design, with 8mm ultra-clear glass for the cube & peninsula, 10mm for the XL and 12mm for the XXL

ReefATO+ and NanoMat ready rear sumps

MAX NANO G2 systems are ReefATO+ ready, allowing you to benefit from an extremely reliable auto top-off, temperature monitor and leak detector. 

MAX NANO G2 systems also have a removable filter sock compartment that is replaceable with the NanoMat- an enhanced mechanical filter with an auto-advance fleece-roll mechanism that keeps your aquarium water crystal clear.

Pump power center

The MAX NANOs have a built-in power center with conveniently located on/off switches for the skimmer and circulation pumps, enabling easy access for feeding and maintenance.

Rotatable rear sump screen

The rotatable screen allows easy access to the rear sump housing the filtration & circulation systems, thereby ensuring that the aquarium’s organic look is undisturbed.

ReefLED lighting

The MAX NANO G2s incorporate the ReefBeat-App controlled ReefLED 50 light, to ensure optimal coral growth and coloration.

The ReefLED 50 has a light intensity and spectrum that is 100% utilized by the corals, making it 100% reef safe and 100% REEF-SPEC.

ReefLED is controlled by Red Sea’s ReefBeat App, which provides a wide range of easy to use functions such as random clouds, acclimation for new installations, and a lunar cycle for the moonlights.

The custom mounting system attaches firmly onto the rear wall of the tank and can be rotated to the upright position during reef scaping or other tank maintenance.

Rotatable ReefLED arm

The LED unit is firmly bolted to the aquarium and can be rotated to give easy access to the rear sump for all of regular maintenance requirements or for reefscaping.

At the heart of the unit is a compact Led array that provides a reef-safe range of REEF-SPEC light through a single REEF-SPEC Blue (23,000 Kelvin) channel that consists of an optimum combination of ultraviolet, violet and blue LEDs and an 9,000 Kelvin white channel. In addition, it has a separate dedicated 3W Moonlight channel to provide the low levels of light for reef-safe nighttime viewing.

Marine-spec cabinet (optional)

MAX NANO G2 systems are available with an optional marine-spec laminate cabinet fronted with weatherproof epoxy painted doors, convenient push openers and soft close stainless steel hinges.

MAX NANO G2 cabinets are offered with black or white exteriors.
