Fritz A+ Aquarium Salt is a high-quality, all-natural salt formulated to support freshwater fish by providing essential electrolytes. Electrolytes are vital for proper gill function, enabling the uptake of oxygen and release of carbon dioxide and ammonia. This salt helps reduce stress during water changes or new tank setups, and promotes recovery from common fish health issues. It can also assist with internal problems such as constipation, mild swim bladder disorders, and fluid retention.

Directions & Dosage

For Conditioning Freshwater Tanks:

• Tropical community and goldfish tanks: Add 1 tbsp per 3.8L of water.

• Livebearer tanks: Up to 1 tbsp per gallon, increase slowly over 3–4 days.

For Treatment of External Parasites:

• Prepare a 2.5% saline bath: ½ cup (95 g) per 3.8L water in a quarantine tank.

• Immerse fish for 15–30 minutes, removing immediately at first signs of stress.

• Return fish to freshwater.

For Cleaning Aquariums and Accessories:

• Dissolve 1/3 cup in 1 gallon of warm water.

• Use to wipe tank surfaces and soak accessories.

• No soap or disinfectants required.

Important Notes:

• Salt does not evaporate and is not removed by filters—add only during water changes.

• Some live plants may be sensitive; adjust usage accordingly.
