Delicate Asian Fern for Aquascaping

Crepidomanes auriculatum is a rare and elegant aquatic fern prized for its delicate, lace-like fronds and unique translucent green texture. Native to tropical regions of Asia, this slow-growing species is perfect for low to medium light aquariums, where it adds a soft, natural touch to driftwood, rocks, or shaded areas of the tank.

Unlike rooted plants, Crepidomanes auriculatum attaches itself to hardscape surfaces using its rhizomes—similar to Java Fern or Bolbitis species. It thrives in stable, clean water conditions with gentle flow, and benefits from soft, slightly acidic water. Due to its graceful appearance and easy care, it’s an ideal choice for aquascapers who want to introduce subtle texture and contrast into planted layouts.
