Warner Marine EcoBak is a biodegradable bio-pellet media designed to fuel beneficial bacteria that naturally reduce nitrates and phosphates in marine aquariums. By providing a preferred organic carbon source, EcoBak supports bacterial growth that consumes excess nutrients, improving water clarity, coral health, and fish vitality—all without the use of harsh chemical additives.

The 500ml pack is perfect for medium aquariums or as a trial size before scaling up to larger volumes.

How EcoBak Works

• Bacterial Food & Substrate – EcoBak pellets act as a long-lasting carbon source.

• Nutrient Removal – As bacteria consume the pellets, they also consume nitrates and phosphates.

• Reef Safe – Reduces algae growth while enhancing coral coloration and growth.

• Coral Feeding – Supplies planktonic bacteria as a natural coral food source.

Usage Instructions

• Dosage: Use 250ml per 50 gallons (190L) of aquarium water.

• Preparation: Rinse pellets in purified water; soak overnight to reduce floating.

• Reactor Setup: Place pellets in a fluidized bio-pellet reactor with ~100gph flow per litre of pellets. Adjust for a gentle tumble.

• Skimmer Integration: Direct reactor output to the protein skimmer intake chamber for maximum nutrient export.

• Colonization Time: Allow 3–4 weeks for bacteria to colonize before nutrient levels begin to decline.

Tips for Best Results:

• Start with ⅓ of the recommended dose, increase weekly until full dosage.

• For tanks with very high nutrients (Nitrate 40ppm+, Phosphate 2ppm+), begin with ¼ dose.

• Ensure your protein skimmer is properly rated and functioning efficiently.

• Replace EcoBak pellets as they are consumed over time.
