Bioscape CO₂ Reactor with Solenoid
The Bioscape CO₂ Reactor with Solenoid is a professional-grade CO₂ generation system designed for freshwater planted aquariums. Using two inexpensive and readily available compounds—citric acid and sodium bicarbonate—this system produces a steady, controlled supply of CO₂. The gas is then delivered via tubing to your preferred diffuser (not included), ensuring optimal growth, color, and vitality of aquatic plants.
Equipped with a pressure vessel, pressure reducer, contents gauge, needle valve, bubble counter, and electronic solenoid, this kit allows precise regulation of CO₂ output, perfect for integration with a timer or automated lighting schedule.
Key Features
-
DIY CO₂ Production – Uses citric acid and sodium bicarbonate to generate CO₂ economically.
-
Electronic Solenoid Control – Automate CO₂ dosing with your aquarium’s lighting schedule.
-
Complete Control – Fine adjustment needle valve and bubble counter for precise dosing.
-
Durable Construction – SUS304 stainless steel cylinder with built-in safety valve withstands high pressure.
-
Long-Lasting Charge – One reaction can last up to 60 days at approximately one bubble per second.
-
Safe Operation – Safety valve prevents over-pressurization; cylinder cooling during reaction is normal.
-

Operation Overview
-
Place 200g citric acid and 200g sodium bicarbonate into the reaction cylinder.
-
Tilt cylinder to 45° and add 300ml water to start the reaction.
-
Immediately attach the regulator to initiate CO₂ production.
-
Fill the bubble counter and connect it to the fine adjustment valve.
-
Connect solenoid to a timer; the indicator light signals when CO₂ is flowing.
-
Adjust bubble rate with the needle valve for precise CO₂ dosing.
Safety & Maintenance
-
Built-in safety valve releases excess pressure.
-
Cylinder walls may cool during reaction—normal operation.
-
Rinse and dry components thoroughly before refilling.
-
12-month warranty covers manufacturing defects; mechanical damage caused by misuse is excluded.
