Limnophila brownii, also known as Darwin River Ambulia, is a fast-growing, fine-textured stem plant native to northern Australia. Highly valued by aquascapers, it features delicate, finely divided leaves that sway gracefully in the current, adding a soft, natural texture to any aquarium. Under optimal lighting, the foliage can take on bronze to brown hues, creating a stunning contrast among green plants.
This adaptable species thrives in medium to high lighting with a nutrient-rich substrate and CO₂ supplementation for vigorous, compact growth. It’s also easy to propagate from stem cuttings or runners, making it an excellent choice for both beginners and advanced aquascapers seeking fast, lush growth.
