The Foxface Rabbitfish (Siganus vulpinus) is a hardy, peaceful marine fish prized for its striking yellow body, bold black-and-white facial mask, and exceptional algae-grazing abilities. This species is ideal for reef and community aquariums, helping control nuisance algae while adding vibrant colour and movement to the display.

Foxface are calm swimmers and generally get along well with most tank mates. They thrive in well-established tanks with plenty of rockwork for grazing and retreat. Although equipped with venomous dorsal spines, they rarely display aggression and instead rely on camouflage when stressed. Provide a varied herbivorous diet including nori, marine algae, spirulina pellets, and occasional frozen foods.

A long-lived and active species, the Foxface Rabbitfish is one of the best functional fish for maintaining a healthy reef environment while remaining visually stunning.
