Why Use Aquaforest Strontium?

In closed aquarium systems, protein skimmers and filtration media tend to remove strontium and barium from water, making supplementation essential to maintain natural seawater conditions. The added barium complements strontium to keep the perfect ratio, mimicking the natural seawater environment. The recommended strontium level in reef aquariums is between 5 ppm and 15 ppm for optimal coral health.
