AF Bio Sand is a premium, natural white sand substrate sourced from high-quality deposits and free of contaminants. Rich in calcium carbonate, it helps stabilize aquarium water parameters, while its advanced formulation speeds up the nitrogen cycle in both new and established tanks.
Included with the sand are two bottles containing laboratory-isolated strains of nitrifying bacteria and a nutrient solution to support their rapid development and multiplication.

How It Works
The proprietary AF Bio Sand system significantly reduces the waiting time during tank setup by boosting bacterial colonization from day one. It ensures quicker closing of the nitrogen cycle and more stable conditions for adding livestock early in the process.
Instant Sand Preparation Instructions

Rinse sand in RODI water to reduce dust and turbidity.

In 3L of saltwater, pour both included bottles (bacteria and nourishment) and mix thoroughly.

Add the mixture to the sand bag and leave open for 24 hours to activate bacteria.

Maintain temperature between 25–28°C (77–82°F) during the process.

After 24 hours, the sand is ready for use.

Gradually add the sand to your tank in small amounts over several days.

Monitor water parameters and adjust accordingly.
Note: Avoid storing in cold areas to prevent slowing bacterial multiplication.
