Raw Australian king prawns are the perfect choice for aquarium fish. Our prawns are freshly caught from the New South Wales coast and hand-peeled to ensure only pure prawn meat is used. These prawns are free from harmful additives like sodium tripolyphosphate (mineral salt E-451), commonly used in seafood to improve visual appeal and increase moisture retention, but can be undesirable to aquatic life. This makes them a safe and healthy food option for your aquarium fish, while providing them with the essential nutrients and proteins they need to thrive. Additionally, their natural and unprocessed state ensures that the prawns retain their flavour and texture, making them a tasty and enjoyable treat for your fish.

Fresh local live mussels sourced from the South Coast of New South Wales, Australia. Our mussels are carefully debearded and washed before being steamed to perfection. The cooking process deactivates thiaminase, a naturally occurring enzyme that can breakdown vitamin B1 (thiamine), ensuring the highest quality food source for your fish and aquatic animals.

Ocean perch and whiting, freshly caught off the coast of New South Wales, Australia. The fish is carefully filleted, skinned, and had its bones removed. An important advantage of using these fish is that they are free from thiaminase (Thiaminase is an enzyme that can break down the essential nutrient Thiamine (Vitamin B1) in some fish foods, causing a deficiency in the diet of fish that consume it. Thiamine is crucial for a healthy nervous system, and a deficiency can lead to various health problems such as weight loss, weakened immunity, and even death. It is important to choose fish food that does not contain Thiaminase, or to provide a balanced diet that includes sources of Thiamine such as frozen or dried seafoods.) while ensuring a well-rounded and nutritious diet for fish and other aquarium inhabitants.

Our phytoplankton is cultured in-house.

Phytoplankton is an excellent addition to fish food, providing numerous benefits to aquarium fish. One of the key benefits is its rich content of EPA and DHA, two critical omega-3 fatty acids. These fatty acids play a vital role in maintaining the overall health and wellness of fish, including cardiovascular health, immune system function, and vision. The EPA to DHA ratio in our phytoplankton mix is carefully balanced to mimic the natural diet of fish, ensuring optimal absorption and utilisation. Furthermore, phytoplankton is a natural, whole food source, providing a range of essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants to help promote overall health and wellness in fish while also being an ideal food source for filter-feeding invertebrates.
