Wrasse Fairy Carpenters (Paracheilinus Carpenteri)
Carpenter Wrasse (Paracheilinus carpenteri)
Colourful, Active Flasher Wrasse Ideal for Reef Aquariums
The Carpenter Wrasse (Paracheilinus carpenteri), also known as the Carpenter’s Flasher Wrasse, is a vibrant and energetic reef-safe species prized for its brilliant red, orange, and electric blue highlights. Males display stunning “flashing” courtship behaviour, making them one of the most eye-catching additions to peaceful reef tanks.
This species thrives in well-established aquariums with plenty of rockwork, open swimming space, and a secure lid, as wrasses are known jumpers. A calm community setting helps bring out their brightest colours and natural display behaviours. Carpenter Wrasses accept a wide variety of enriched frozen foods, copepods, mysis, and quality marine pellets.
Perfect for reef aquarists wanting a peaceful, colourful fish that adds constant motion and personality without disturbing corals or invertebrates.
