Polyplab Genesis Rock Booster Kit
Boost Aquarium Filtration with Genesis Rocks & Concentrated Bacteria
Increase your aquarium’s filtration power with the Polyplab Genesis Rock Booster Kit — a combination of two Genesis Rocks and a bottle of concentrated Genesis Bacteria. Designed for fresh and saltwater tanks, this kit offers over 23,000 square feet of bacterial colonization space per block, helping to reduce phosphates, nitrates, and dissolved organic compounds for healthier tank water.
What Is Genesis Rock?
Genesis Rock is a 100% ceramic compound fired at over 600°C to create a durable, zero-leach filtration media. These blocks provide immense surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonize, significantly boosting your tank’s natural filtration and promoting stable water chemistry. Use them under sand, within your refugium, or hidden in your aquascape.

Directions for Use
Preparing Genesis Rocks
-
Rinse rocks thoroughly with purified or aquarium water to remove dust.
-
Place rocks in a container with aquarium water and add Genesis Bacteria based on your tank size.
-
Let rocks soak with bacteria for at least 12 hours before adding to your aquarium.
-
Rocks can also be placed directly in the tank after rinsing if not using bacterial supplement.
Recommended Coverage
-
Each rock supports up to 350 gallons of aquarium water.
-
Use more rocks to increase filtration but avoid exceeding 10 times the recommended coverage.
Installation Tips
-
Aerobic bacteria (Nitrite & Ammonia removal): Suspend rocks above water level in refugium or overflow; run about 40 gallons/hour over them.
-
Anaerobic bacteria (Nitrate removal): Place rocks in low-flow, oxygen-poor areas such as under sand, refugium, or low flow sump areas.
-
Combined aerobic & anaerobic: Place rocks in medium-flow areas to foster both bacterial types.
Avoid placing rocks where they may rub or be damaged by equipment, such as vibrating protein skimmers.
Genesis Bacteria Dosing
-
Use 1 drop per 20 gallons of total system volume daily.
-
For cycling new systems, increase to 4 drops per 20 gallons daily for two weeks.
