The Mantis Bio Sphere is made from inert ceramic material with an advanced open-flow architecture, providing an exceptionally large usable surface area for biological filtration. Compared to conventional filter media, Mantis Bio Spheres deliver higher efficiency with less media required to effectively treat NH4-N (ammonia) and NO3-N (nitrate).

Each sphere features a microporous surface structure with a very large specific surface area, making it ideal for the growth of beneficial microorganisms. This structure supports the formation of a stable and highly active biofilm, ensuring long-term and reliable biological filtration.
